Artist Statement and Resume

Mardie Weldon

The assemblages, paintings, and my small work with metals and wood, generally depict the filtered remains of my own selective memory - responses to thoughts and encounters in my day-to-day or fragments from my past - patched together to most closely approximate how I perceive and navigate the world.
